Contracts your clients can sign from a link

Build a contract from a template, sign it as you send it, and your client signs online with a typed or drawn signature. Both signatures and an audit trail land on the PDF.

The essentials

Everything a contract needs to get signed

Contracts sit next to your quotes and invoices, so the agreement, the work and the billing stay in one place.

  • Start from a template

Use a starter template — a freelance services agreement, a scope of work or a mutual NDA — or write and save your own.

  • Merge fields

Add fields like the client's name, the project name or the quote total, and Orbit fills them in for each contract.

  • From a quote or a lead

Create a contract straight from an accepted quote or from a lead you're about to win.

  • Typed or drawn signatures

Your client types their name or draws a signature with a finger, a stylus or the mouse.

  • Frozen once sent

After you send it, its text, parties and dates can't change. To change anything, void it and send a new version.

  • An audit record

A signed contract records when each party signed, the client's IP address and browser, and a SHA-256 hash of the contract.

SigningPro plan

Signed online, with a copy for everyone

You sign as you send: type your full name and agree to the same e-signature consent your client sees. Your client opens the link, reads the contract and signs or declines it — no account needed.

  • Orbit notifies you when your client signs or declines
  • Your client gets an email confirming their signature, with a link to the signed copy
  • Download the signed PDF with both signatures and the audit trail

From quote to contract

Turn an accepted quote into an agreement

When a client accepts your quote, create the contract from it. Once it's signed, create the project from the contract and get to work.

  • A contract linked to a lead moves the lead to Won when it's signed
  • Set a valid-until date — after it, an unsigned contract can't be signed
  • Void a sent contract to stop its link working

Get started

Signed in three steps

  1. Write it

Pick a template, choose the client and a valid-until date, and preview the contract.

  2. Sign and send

Type your name, agree to the e-signature consent, and share the secure link with your client.

  3. Your client signs

They sign, typed or drawn. You're notified, and the signed PDF carries both signatures and the audit trail.

Your signed contracts stay with you

Contracts are part of Orbit Pro. If your subscription ends, your existing contracts stay in Orbit to view and download; creating and sending new ones needs Pro again.

Frequently asked questions

Each signature records the signer's name, whether it was typed or drawn, and when it was made. For the client, Orbit also stores their IP address, browser and the consent they agreed to, plus a SHA-256 hash of the contract. It's an electronic signature with an audit record; whether that suits a particular agreement is for you to decide.

No. Your client signs on a secure page from the link you send, typing their name or drawing a signature, and gets an email confirming it with a link to the signed copy.

No. A sent contract is frozen so both parties sign exactly the same text. To change something, void the contract — its link stops working — and send a new version.

Yes. They can decline from the same page and leave a note, and Orbit notifies you.

Contracts with e-signature are part of Orbit Pro. If your Pro subscription ends, the contracts you already have stay in Orbit to view and download.
